Wise Ibsen says, “The strongest man in the world is he who stands alone. He is weak who expects, waits for others [to help him]” (An Enemy of the People, 1882). Alone here means – self-reliant, one who is able to stand on one’||chr(39)||’s own two feet. In this context, alone does not mean an uncooperative individual. What Ibsen implies here is a person who knows his responsibilities, performs his duties, that person finds the necessary support he needs [for progress] from within. External resources easily come, drawn to him by his magnetism.
